Silver cell up and running .
This is about twenty minutes since start up
Really just a small test run
Need to get more acetylene been using MAPP gas.
Lazer Steve I know I need to get the Cu( NO3)2 weights to you.
I Have been reading silver cell for dummies ( anybody have chapter 14?)

Nice set up ! I had a similar type my first time, the drawback was that the crystals were only growing from the graphite placed in the electrolyte, when using a stainless steel bowl, the crystals form on the sides all the way around the inside of the vessel.

Another upside is you don’t have to let your connection run through the electrolyte.
The stainless steel bowl has all dry connections.
 
Cheese cloth was a bad idea switched that out pour more shot and added to basket.

Shut down the cells last night
Rinsed crystals about 300g

Notes for the next one :

Less voltage ( < 1.5 VDC )
Have more shot/ feed stock ready
Graphite cathode are a pain to remove the crystals from.

Argentum I’m going use that colander idea.

81.05 g of kinda ok bars
61 grams of shot ( from cemented silver from electrolyte )
320 grams of silver crystals
Some silver still on graphite cathode
This concludes the silver cell experiment
.
Next :Cleaning up, work on those items in the AP bucket .
