Are the chips on RAM sticks BGA, IC or Flat Pack chips?
I am reading that they are called DRAM chips and most of my RAM sticks have have very densely packed on both sides. There are however, several variations.
While I'm depopulating boards I'm also reading about how to recover PM's from the chips and run into articles talking about BGA, IC and Flat Packs and I'm confused about what ones I am working on.
Can someone help me understand please?

All chips are IC-Intergreated Circuits.
BGA is a type of style using Ball Grid Array to attach to the RAM board. DIP is another style using Dual Inline Pins to attach. Flat packs are thinner DIPs.
