Nice, I made this once when working at a well known refiner in the lab. If only it was a bit more insoluble it would be a good way to refine platinum since it avoids hexachloroplatinate (IV) salt. The pink palladium equivalent valquelins was always more sticky and always seemed slower at dissolving in ammonia at temp than the Pt double salt.
