Issue with silver cell

I am currently running my silver cell, my silver crystals will be looking great one day and the very next day I will check it and there will be a brown substance (sludge) inside growing on my silver. I have taken the filter out and taken it apart and there is very little slimes inside of it. My questions are, what is this, what could be causing this and how can I fix this? Thanks in advance for help and time. I will try to post pics when I get a chance.

I'm using cemented silver. That I have melted and poured into water.

Muslin cloth, Walmart carries some that works fine.
