Hi everyone. Thanks to all for welcoming me. Thanks for everyone that takes time to answer questions! I am a jeweler in AZ looking to refine my own gold and platinum scrap. Currently, I mostly only "wash" my platinum with AR to clean it before reuse, and save the acid for reuse, and occasionally I precipitate it with NH4Cl to recover the dissolved platinum when it stops being effective. Everything else goes to the refiner and I always feel like I'm leaving a lot of money behind.

Welcome to us.
Be aware that the salts from PGM's are utterly toxic.
